Shaifali although the photo clip reminds me of this poster of mine which has these beautiful words along with the same photo. I Had a Dream
One night I had a dream
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets
of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to me
and the other to my Lord.
When the last scene of my life shot before me
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
There was only on set of footprints.
I realized that this was at the lowest
and saddest times in my life.
This always bothered me
and I questioned the Lord
about my dilemma.
“Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
But I’m aware that during the most troublesome
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why, when I needed You most,
you leave me.”
He whispered, “My precious, precious child,
I love you and will never leave you
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints
It was then that I carried you.” The words have given me strength in the most difficult times. Since u talk about'sadness' some thoughts... i wish memories were fleeting too but the fact of the matter is they are not. Some are even effervescent. i wonder if sadness has it's own pleasure too or else why would we indulge into them? Why can't we just hang them somewhere and move on ? Why do we hold on to these memories and the sadder it is longer is the shelf life. What do u have to say to this?
@Shivani....I think life runs on Murphy's laws. The sadder the memories...longer the shelf life, thanks Shivani to put it so nicely.
I think, each memory (sad & happy) had its pleasure once upon a time, and therefore we keep clinging to it, consciously/subconsciously. Too sad to write anything more...!
@Rahul...thanks for your visit to my blog. It is always nice to see a new visitor.
What you said about the picture is very true! Sometimes they are powerful than words, but I am not a photographer, I am a poet & I find solace in words. The picture that I used here is through Google.
Its all upto us what we keep, what we delete from the database of our mind. (memories are its part) Delete the unnecessary block and sadness will disappear soon. take care !!
Beautiful beyond words...Simply amazed by these 10 words:) :) :)
ReplyDeleteSaru
For the nice or worse but something's are forever !!!
ReplyDelete@Saru....I am glad you liked my 'sadness' :)
ReplyDelete@Pawan....You are absolutely right. In French, we say- 'C'est la vie!, this is life......But the hope is to see the silver lining in every cloud.
Thanks for visiting my blog and giving me the opportunity to share the views.
