My name!

You can't speak to me
in broken sentences,
incomplete words!

You take my name
and you stop...
you can't kill me
like this
for I know not
what lies beyond my
name
when you call 'it',
for I know surely
what is left behind
when you call 'it'.

My name!
is it all what you
have......

Memories hover
Lips curl in a smile
Eyes shine in bliss
this was a time
'once upon a time'
now what is left
is a 'name'
called and halted at
before emotions flow & ruin
everything preserved!

  3. Shaifali this time the image of the pink bits of what i presume is paper hearts and ur words take me to the memories of what i sense is that wonderful moments of bickering when u r in love. you know what i mean that pyaar mein rootna aur phir manaana. You might get the feeling that the fragrant love has ebbed or it's ebbing but the matter of fact is that other things take precedence and the scenario changes.
Mine was an arranged marriage but i have seen almost the same ebbing of romantic feelings happen to all i know even to those who've had love marriages. Sure there were tantrums from me too when finally i would land up asking,"Don't you love me anymore...?"
What i'm trying to say is whether love is fulfilled or unfulfilled the only thing that remains constant is change. Sooner or later the passion slows down and fades and all u r left with is those fragrant memories.
" Hum hain mushtaq aur woh bezar
Ya ilahi yeh majra kya hai?" ...
Mirza Asad-Ullah Ghalib in his famous Dil e nadan tujhe hua kya hai.
Meaning- i am so eager and he so disinterested
Oh Lord, what is this affair?
Sry my comments seem to be appearing on ur box like a blogpost but i am a wordy woman and by now u know that don't u?
ur words are beautiful as always.Loved this one too.
In case my thoughts went tangent,do let me know about ur feelings for this particular poem.
What i could gather was your eagerness and someone's detachment for whom u just exist as an 'it' now.
