Fake!

What am I doing?
I question myself
&
my words!

Trying to write this-that!
Trying to write about-
flowers beautiful as love,
fragrant fragrance of love!
Trying to capture scenes
of happiness,
of bliss!
Trying to weave passion
 & stories full of longings!

Trying to write all this
I feel
where is the contentment,
the pure joy I feel after
penning these down?
What am I doing?
What am I doing of my words...?
Faking them!!!!

And at this very moment...
I stop all this,
I stop all the efforts
of penning castles,
I just write your name,
& I immediately know
it's not fake!

  5. Shaifali i look at the illustration and i like it...the painting is very compelling. So are your words. Even i'm stuck on words these days. How to find those exact words that suit what we feel. i guess then for some expressions words are not enough and for some just one word is enough.
    :)
i just remembered this ham radeef ghazal called kissi aur ka naam likhoon toh bura lagey and i had heard it some time back when i was familiarizing myself with sufi songs. Actually checked out the net to see if someone has uploaded it. i got one although i'm not too pleased with the images and the background music spoils it all.
But listen to the words...the connotation can be many but it in a way will remind you of your own.

  7. @ Shivani.....wow! I remember you calling yourself not a poet in one of my posts....and here you are! I am amazed how beautifully you interpret my words. You are absolutely right when you say yes, for some we have no words, and for some words are always less.....Thanks to feel my words Shivani :)
sadly, the link is not right and I could not listen to the ghazal you mentioned. I even tried to search with the title, but could not. Pls pls give me the right link. I love ghazals and Sufi music.
I loved 'keep unravelling' .....You make me smile and happy from within. Thanks.
